Treating nausea with CBD
There is a growing body of scientific evidence to suggest that CBD may be effective for reducing nausea and vomiting.
A systematic review published in the journal Schizophrenia Research in 2009 evaluated the antipsychotic properties of CBD in humans. The authors of the review found that CBD may be effective in reducing nausea and vomiting.
A parent survey published in the journal Epilepsy & Behavior in 2013 found that CBD-enriched cannabis was effective in reducing nausea and vomiting in a group of paediatric patients with treatment-resistant epilepsy.
A study published in the Journal of Pain in 2013 found that low-dose vaporized cannabis significantly improved neuropathic pain and reduced nausea in a group of participants. The authors of the study did not specifically mention the effects of CBD on nausea, but noted that cannabis was effective in reducing nausea and vomiting.
Overall, these studies along with multiple testimonials available online suggest that CBD has positive potential as an anti-nausea agent.
